Mail Forwarding and Registered Office: What’s the difference?
Registered Office
This is a term associated with limited companies – if your operation is not a limited company it’s not a term that’s relevant to you. The registered office is the official (as held by Companies House) address of a limited company; a company does not need to trade from or even be based at the address – the company simply needs to be contactable via mail from it. You can not use an address as a registered office without permission from the landlord.
We do offer a registered office service. With this service we allow you to use our address as your company’s registered office (for one year, a renewal is then required), we will also forward on any official government mail that we receive free of charge. Unless you are using this service in conjunction with a mail forwarding service, we will not forward on any other mail.

Mail Forwarding Service
A mail forwarding service is exactly that, a service whereby we forward your mail on to you. If you have our mail forwarding service you can give our address out to your contacts (via stationery etc). If you are trading as a limited company, you can not use our address as your company’s registered office unless you have the registered office service as well.

8 reasons why we love N1
As you may be aware, we recently relocated headquarters to brand new offices, and this in turn has meant a brand new postcode – N1. To commemorate the move we thought we’d share with you some of the reasons why we love our new area, right in the heart of Tech City.
Old Street Roundabout = Silicon Roundabout
The area surrounding Old Street Station has been affectionately nicknamed Silicon Roundabout after its US counterpart, Silicon Valley. And with good reason: this postcode has the highest number of web businesses and start-ups in the country. Recent findings show that approximately 15,000 tech start-ups have come to life in Tech City in the last few years. Not a bad place for our company to be based!
We’re in good company
MadeSimple aren’t the only ones who’ve opened up in N1 recently. Some of our Silicon Roundabout neighbours include Google, Twitter, Microsoft and Pinterest.
There’s always something going on
Capitalising on the creative energy of the area, the organisers of London Technology Week have decided N1 is the best place to hold their annual event. The London Innovation Summit will also take place here this Autumn. On top of this, businesses often choose the area to host launches, events and talks. Continue reading

Call Divert – Answer and Patch: What’s the difference?
When it comes to our Phone Services, we offer 3 telephone options that are spread across 4 packages.
The Phone Services:
- Just Divert
- Office Answer
- Answer 24/7
- Answer & Patch
With the options being:
- Divert
- Answer
- Answer and Patch
Answer is easy enough – calls are answered in your company name, we then take a message and then send it to you via email or SMS.
But what’s the difference between Divert, and Answer and Patch?
With Divert, when someone rings your number, their call is automatically redirected to another phone that you have specified.
With Answer and Patch, we answer calls in your company name, we then put the call through to you.
Quite simple really! See here for more information about our Phone Services.
