Luke Loves London because…

Luke celebrating Waitangi Day in London. At 6.2, Luke may stand tall in the office but this policeman makes him look like a Hobbit.

It’s round four of “We Love London because”, where members of the team tell us what they love about the city. Today we’re chatting with Luke, our Graphic Designer.

“Being from New Zealand, where the population isn’t even half of London’s, I love that London is always in the spotlight.

Just on the way to work you can see sights often shown on camera in films and TV shows – even sporting events, especially in 2012! The closest my hometown of Hamilton gets to being in view of the world is Hobbiton, and that’s still an hour’s drive away!”

Thanks Luke!

Lizzie Loves London because…

Lizzie… in London!

Next up in the “We Love London because” hot seat is team member Lizzie, PA to our CEO Howard. With no further ado, here’s why Lizzie loves London (nice alliteration!):

“I have been in love with this fabulous city ever since I moved here just two years ago. Sure, I may grumble about the weather or roll my eyes at lost tourists but in my opinion, I’m living in the best city in the world!

So why do I love London?

There is never a shortage of things to do. Every single day, I could do something new, be it visiting a gallery, museum, concert or food market. I can fill my days with culture, food, history and music.

Never underestimate how much there is to do here.

One of my favourite quotes is by Samuel Johnson: “When a man is tired of London, he is tired of life”, I couldn’t have said it better myself Sam!

Being such a diverse city, there is literally every single type of food you can imagine just waiting to be discovered and eaten! And every culture is well represented. Since living here I’ve tried, Japanese sushi, South African biltong, Saffron ice cream, cornflake milkshakes, a bacon and egg cocktail and even experienced an American burger afternoon tea!

There is so much to do here and I can’t wait to see what this weekend has in store for me!”

Thanks Lizzie for such an enthusiastic response!

Merry Christmas from Richard!

Time for another “We Love London because” blog post! A couple of weeks ago Laura, our Marketing Assistant, told us what she loves about the capital and now it’s the turn of Richard, our Office Manager.

“I love London because I am a street art and graffiti fan! No matter where I go there are amazing pieces by (in)famous street artists:

Invader and his humorous mosaics
Shephard Fairey (Obey) with his Andre The Giant pieces
C215‘s amazing head and shoulder portraits
Dispatch‘s lego pieces
Evol and his tower block stencils
• And probably the most well known of all time, Banksy!

Laura Loves London because…

Laura. In Canterbury.

Here it is, the first “We Love London because…” blog post. In this series of posts, a member of the team is going to name one(ish) thing that they love about London. Kicking us off is our Marketing Assistant, Laura.

“I love London because it’s so easy to get around. Being from a small town in Essex I usually have to drive everywhere. In London everything’s on your doorstep and you’re never short of options; Tube, bus, cab or Boris bike – they’re all great!

It’s great for walking around too. Even if you’re not aiming for anywhere, you can still wander and find some hidden gems, like a good pub or a secret garden.”

Thanks to Laura for stepping up first. What do you love about London? Let us know in the comments section below.

How do I top up my Postage Deposit?

How do I pay my Postage Deposit?

The Postage Deposit is used to pay for any postage or handling fees that your mail incurs.

When you sign up for any of our Mail Forwarding services, £20 is put towards the deposit. The amount of time this lasts depends on what service you have and where we’re sending your mail (if your mail is forwarded).

When the deposit starts to run low, we’ll send you an email letting you know. To top up your postage deposit (you don’t have to wait until you’re notified – you can top up when you want) simply:

1. Sign in to your account
2. Select My Deposits
3. Under Actions select View
4. Enter the amount that you wish to add to your account and then
select ADD TO BASKET:

5. Complete the payment process

That’s it!

Introducing “We love London because…”

We do!

Welcome to our first “We love London because…” blog post. Over the coming months, I’m going to ask the team at London Presence “what do you love about London?” Each post will be dedicated to one person and one thing that they love about the capital.

Now we’re going to keep things strictly positive, but as Londoners, we know that one thing we do all like is a good moan. So if you want to let us know what you dislike about London, let us know via the comments section. Of course, you’re welcome to let us know what you love too!

We’ll post the first proper “We love London because…” in two weeks, watch this space…
