When do we forward you mail? You have 3 choices.

How often is Mail Forwarded?

If you sign up for a Mail Forwarding service, we can forward your mail:

• As and when it comes in
• At the end of the week
• At the end of the month

Why would you opt for the latter two options? Because we’ll group your mail together and send it out as one package, meaning a smaller charge on your postage deposit. This makes particularly large savings if your address is outside of the UK.

To change how often we forward your mail:

• Select “My Services”
• Click on your Account Number
• Under “Preferences” select “Change”
• Tick the relevant circle under “Mail Forwarding Options”
• Select “Save”

Any questions? Let us know.

Collecting mail from us? Don’t forget your ID.

Collecting your mail?

If you choose to collect mail directly from our office, don’t forget to bring photo ID with you. We accept:

• Passports
• Driving Licenses
• ID cards

It’s also handy, but not compulsory, if you can bring along a print-out of the email that states you have mail (or a smartphone/tablet displaying this).

Please get in touch via the comments function below if you have any questions.

Working from home? Is your company giving the impression you want?

According to a recent article in/on The Telegraph, one in six people in the United Kingdom operate an online business from home. That’s quite a figure.

This got us thinking:

Are these businesses happy for customers to know that they’re home based?E

There are some businesses where being home based is actually a selling point. Homemade is, after all, a positive term. On the flip side, there are some industries where being home based could be detrimental to business.

For businesses that fall into the latter category, there are options available. This includes our own Mail Forwarding Services.

How it works

If you sign up we will allow you to use our address as your contact address (see Mail Box Pro if you’re also interested in a Limited Company Registered Office). We’ll then forward any mail that we receive onto you.

Two benefits:

• Gives the impression that you are a London based operation
• Protects your address (no one wants unexpected visitors)

Your Phone Messages: Emailed, sent via SMS and stored in your account

We don’t send your messages this way

If you sign up for one of the following phone services; Office Answer, Answer 24/7 or Answer & Patch, we will forward on any phone messages we take for you.

These messages are sent to you:

• Via email, or
• Via SMS

It’s totally up to you.

And just in case you accidentally delete the email or text message (like we all do from time to time), the message is also stored in your dashboard. To locate your messages:

Sign in > Select “My Messages” > Select “My Phone Messages”

You can then view a log that details all the messages we’ve taken for you.

Do you use London Presence? We’d love to hear from you.

We’d love to hear from you

We’re building a portfolio of case studies about customers who use our services. If you use any of the following, we would love to hear from you:

• Mail Forwarding
• Phone Answering
• Holiday Cover

What we need

A few paragraphs about you, your business and how our services assist you.

We’re also looking for some larger, interview format case studies. Interviews can take place at our London offices or over the phone.

What’s in it for you?

Well most importantly it’s great exposure for your business. We don’t want the case studies to be about us, that would be boring, we want them to be about you.

If we decide to use your case study (on the site, marketing materials, social media etc) we’ll also give you a £25 Amazon voucher.

Interested?

Please email [email protected] for more information.

Our 6 Tips for Working from Home

your businessJust because Yahoo are putting an end to staff working from home doesn’t mean that the concept’s days are numbered. Recent research by Direct Line for Business found that up to eight million people in the UK are now running a business from home. So, for the benefit of those 8 million, here are our top tips for working from home.

Put some clothes on

It’s important to build a routine. Wake up, have a shower, get dressed, eat breakfast, brush your teeth, do some work. Lofing about in your pj’s equals one thing. Daytime TV.

Pick a good spot

Where you carry out your work is integral. It doesn’t need to be a big area or even a clean area but it does need to be an area where you’re not going to be distracted. And shut the door. This tells people “I’m working, leave me to it”.

Take a breather

Just because you’re cutting out the commute doesn’t mean that you have to cut out fresh air. A brief wander outside can do wonders.

Failing to plan is planning to fail

Or if you prefer, there’s the 7 military P’s. Every day set out a plan outlining what you want to achieve. Include some smaller, basic tasks for when procrastination rears its ugly head. Doing something is better than nothing.

Make yourself available

Unanswered Skype chats (and calls) will make people think you’re skiving. Respond as quickly as you can.

And stop

The two temptations of working from home are “never start” and “never stop”. For the latter, don’t forget your non-work life. Work specific hours and stop when your day is done. Easier typed than done.

Christmas is coming: it’s time to think how to send Cards & Presents!

Christmas is coming. London starts to be decoreted and people are ready for the long month of advent.
During this period the economic problems will be pushed to the back of people’s minds by the organisation of Christmas details: buying presents and sending cards, attending parties and organising dinners, choosing the tree and finding the decorations.

Sometimes gifts and cards have to be sent far; so here some indication and links to organise your Christmas Mail:

Royal Mail – This year Royal Mail wants to make things a little easier extending enquiry office opening hours between the 15th December until Christmas. To make sure that people receive all their packages they have introduced new evening deliveries on Monday 22nd and Tuesday 23rd December and redeliveries on Sunday 21st December. Here more about prices.

DHL – DHL is the global market leader of the international express and logistics industry, combining with worldwide coverage and an in-depth understanding of local markets. This international network links more than 220 countries and territories worldwide.

City Link – The English company provides services in UK, Ireland and around the world and plans extended hours and special prices to satisfy its customers during the Christmas period.

FedEx – Fed Express offers special holiday shipping, including exceptions money-back guarantee.

Timing and prices depends from destination, size and weight. Don’t wait too long to be sure that your family and friends will receive your Christmas Gifts in time.
